Dear Southern California Youth Rugby,

CONGRATULATIONS! We are most pleased to inform you that Southern California Youth Rugby is the winner of the 2016 NCYS S.T.R.I.V.E. Award for Organization of the Year!

The NCYS and our sponsor AIG are inspired by the extraordinary quality of the finalists programs. Each organization is a hero in its own right as they genuinely live up to the program name of STRIVE and all that it represents: Sports Teach Respect, Initiative, Values and Excellence. The STRIVE Award recognizes organizations that embrace a "kids first" approach, evidenced by their implementation of recognized best practices and policies that protect kids by promoting responsible health and safety within their organization.

We applaud Southern California Youth Rugby and its dedication to deliver a meaningful safe, supportive, and inclusive health and fitness program for youth of all ages, sizes, abilities, backgrounds and financial circumstances. Your impressive programs deliver physical activity, health, wellness, and safety while incorporating fun and important life lessons. We praise the SCYR leaders, the athletes, the coaches, the volunteers, and the parents for their commitment to exemplify to young people that Sports Teach Respect, Initiative, Values and Excellence.

You have demonstrated a heartfelt passion and a contagious spirit for helping kids succeed in youth sports activities while maintaining a focused commitment to establish an impressive variety of safety procedures. We are certain you will continue to advance the vital role integrity, sportsmanship, safety, life skills as well as sport skills play for a positive youth sports experience in a more wholesome society.

NCYS and AIG will be sending a nationwide press release out with the STRIVE Award announcement. Please feel free to make an announcement on your website and through your own media outlets, social media networks too. Please let us know if you receive media coverage/publicity through electronic or paper print (TV, radio, local newspapers, magazines, trade publications, newsletters, chamber of commerce, etc.). And if possible, please be kind enough to share those contacts (contact person, publication name, phone, fax, email, web address) with us so we can also spread the exciting news!

We will also be contacting dignitaries and elected officials on all levels of government (U.S. Senators, U.S. Congressmen, State Representatives, the Governor, the Mayor, City Council Representatives, etc.) requesting special recognitions such as Congratulatory Letters, Citations, and Proclamations.
