Our Summers Campaign-

June
20th is the First
Day of Summer
Send
your Senators a souvenir
of summer activities
represented by the
Conservation and Reinvestment
Act.
Countdown to CARA
-- “Save Our Summers”
Campaign June 20th
is the first day of
summer and millions
of Americans will
be heading to the
beach for a day, going
to the mountains for
a hike, visiting America’s
cultural resources
and heritage areas,
or just kicking around
a soccer ball. However,
they may encounter
crowded beaches, overused
trails, dilapidated
historic buildings,
fewer wildlife, and
not enough recreational
facilities to accommodate
the millions of outdoor-minded
Americans on their
summer vacations.
That’s
why it’s important
your Senators understand
the importance of
passing landmark,
bipartisan conservation
and reinvestment legislation.
Only this way can
we SAVE OUR SUMMERS
for our children and
future generations
by creating places
for them to recreate.
What
You Can Do Send your
Senators a souvenir
of summer vacation
activities to help
them get the message
to SAVE OUR SUMMERS.
Make sure it is related
to enjoying the summer
in the great outdoors,
including hiking,
camping, playing ball,
viewing wildlife,
heritage touring,
or just going to the
beach.

Save Our Summers!
Pass Landmark, Bipartisan
Conservation and Reinvestment
Legislation Now!
Summer
is a time for family
and community – days
spent at the beach,
hikes in the woods,
fishing, a visit through
a historic neighborhood
or just kicking around
a soccer ball.
June
20th marks the first
day of summer and
the longest day of
the year. But, time
is short on the Senate’s
calendar.
I’ve enclosed a souvenir
of one of the many
activities that Americans
will enjoy this summer
due to the programs
represented in CARA.
Help ensure that future
generations will share
the experiences of
summer that we cherish
today.
