Happy One Year Anniversary of Let's Move!

February 8, 2011

As you know, this week marks the first anniversary of the launch of the Let's Move! initiative. An important part of this week is our unveiling of multiple resources that are designed to let you work within your community on solving the problem of childhood obesity.

Does your organization have a newsletter or a blog? Check out the columns by the First Lady that you can use.

Do you want to show a video discussing Let's Move! to a group of people at a local meeting? Here's a video of the First Lady going over the accomplishments of this first year.

Are you staffing a table at an event, and want to have materials available for attendees to pick up? We've got new fact sheets on multiple topics you can use.

Do you want to get involved, but not sure how? Check out the Let's Move! community on and sign up to attend (or run!) a meeting near you.

There's a bunch of events going on around the anniversary this week. (We also have a new guide available that talks about how to run your own Let's Move! meetup.)

You can also follow us on our new Twitter account , or 'like' our Facebook page and share your ideas.

It's going to take all of us working together, but I know we can have an impact and put our children on the path to a healthy future.

Thank you for all you do,

Robin Schepper
Executive Director, Let’s Move! Initiative

P.S. You may want to check out our new Programs and Resources page for a detailed rundown of multiple programs working on this issue.
