National Youth Sports Week showcases how youth sports organizations and members of Congress can collaborate to promote healthy lifestyles for children and their families through sports.

National Youth Sports Day / Week July 20-24, 2020

Washington, DC

The National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS) in celebration of National Youth Sports Week will host a virtual Hill Day on NCYS Youth Sports Day, Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

The purpose of Hill Day is to advocate for Congress to assist community organizations through the creation of an economic stabilization fund of $8.5B for youth sports providers that solve gaps with the CARES Act. NCYS will schedule a series of Congressional meetings to educate lawmakers on the importance of youth sports to young people, families, and communities.

The youth sports industry, comprised almost entirely of volunteers, nonprofits, and small businesses, risks a complete collapse.  The economic losses suffered by this forced pause, while not unique to youth sports, disproportionately impacts under-resourced communities.

The NCYS seeks to level the playing field to enable all youth to have full access to sports. NCYS invites you to join in this celebration by calling attention to doing what you’re already doing – helping young people play sports.

The National Council of Youth Sports is an advocate for safe environments, healthy lifestyles, and stronger communities.
